We are publishing a historical fiction about a WWII veteran reliving the events of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. We would love some original cover art done in the same cartoon style as old WWII propaganda posters. Think Rosie the Riveter.

We are thinking along the lines of a young couple, reacting in a humorous over-the-top way to the Japanese bombing the harbor behind them.

Hello! I'll be submitting an entry but I would like some clarification about what you mean by a humorous over-the-top reaction. Do you mean the couple should look amused by the bombing or they should have an over-the-top look of horror to a point where it's humorous to the viewer? Also, what genre is the book? I know you originally stated that it was a historical fiction but there isn't enough explanation as to if it's a comedy, tragedy, or romance. If you could just clarify those few things that would be great and I could get started, thanks!

how come entry #9 close to what you are looking for.....moreover it does not at all matches your description brief....which is as follows

My point is,
How come the entry #9 seems more in the line with what you thinking of? Strange enough to accept your comment on it! More so, it neither resembles WW2 American propaganda posters style such as the Rosie the Riveter nor it has any originality where as you said you "would love some original cover art done in the same cartoon style as old WWII propaganda posters".

Is the picture of that island in the powerpoint presentation, Pearl Harbor? If so, would it be fitting to have that island surrounded by smoke and with a giant ship in front of it?
