I would like contestants to design a website from scratch based on the attached design brief:

Company Overview:
Vestis Systems has been in business for 5 years, previously it was called F.O. Berg which was started in 1883.
Currently we have between 5-10 employees based on the season, and we fall under the construction industry. Previously we have sold to both residential and commercial. FO Berg had a large residential base doing window awnings and a patio covers; however, since that time we have shifted away from residential sales/service and want to focus primarily on commercial work with the following customers in mind:

Location:
150 miles around Spokane WA, expanding into Seattle area and I-5 Corridor
Largest Cities:
Spokane (Surrounding Areas)
Seattle (Surrounding Areas)
Tri-Cities (Richland, Pasco, Kennewick)

Business Owner:
They own a business and they want a new awning or to recover/redesign their existing awning, this typically includes signage (logo/design) on the awning.
Typically this is a retail business, from restaurants to boutique shops downtown.
Motivations:
1. Highlight their entrance
2. safe and inviting environment
3. establish a standard or status for the quality of the store
4. provide protection from the elements (to a lesser extent)
5. Provide a medium for signage
Property Owner:
They own a building and they want a new awning or to recover/redesign their existing awning (typically a recover), this might include signage (logo/design) on the awning; however, it is common to not include signage so it doesn’t have to change for each tenant.
Typically this is a b2b customer, from strip malls to multi-tenant buildings.
Motivations:
1. Highlight their entrances
2. Safe and inviting environment
3. Provide an aesthetic to the building that ties it all together (all entrances have the same style awning)
4. provide protection from the elements (to a lesser extent)
Wholesale:
This would be a customer not necessarily in the same geological location such as a sign company (both local/national), national restaurant chains,
This product is already designed, typically requires a site survey
Motivations:
1. Service area
2. Wants a subcontractor that can make decisions on site
3. Timely delivery
4. Quality of installation

Products Offered:
Fabric Awnings: There are numerous styles and thousands of color/fabric/ graphic choices.
We build these custom to meet the customer’s requirements,
Metal Awnings: Similar to fabric awnings but covered in a metal roofing panel
Aluminum Canopies: Architectural c-channel metal canopy, typically made in steel. We offer the same style but in an aluminum product (does not rust)
Louvered Sunshades: Architectural sunshade that provides shade to a window/door but does not block snow/rain
Exterior Retractable Screen: Placed on the exterior of a building to provide a vertical drop down shade. Typically used on West, and East facing elevations to prevent glare and heat buildup.
Retractable Awnings: Used to cover patio areas and sidewalks provides the ability to cover a large area quickly as needed
Roll Shutters: Exterior Rolling shutters that provide protection against theft and storm damage. Once rolled down, they interlock and prevent unwanted entry.

Design Concepts:
- I want to minimize the words and emphasize photography/video
- I want to avoid large single page scrolling (it will be easier for analytics tracking to have individual pages)
- 1 call-to-action on every page (something to the effect of Get a quote, or something similar)or some other way to entice the customer to request information
- Responsive

I have noticed that the majority of entries are the same information, etc. from my existing webpage.

I would really prefer to not use that at all, and target a completely different customer. (As described in the design brief)

  Thank you for the question: I like the use of color and white space on the Katerra website/ header etc. But just would prefer to stay away from a single page, I could possibly be open to the idea if someone were to show why it is a better design and better for SEO
