Geographer Cafe has established itself as a landmark in the UNESCO heritage zone of Malacca since 1999. The iconic silhouette of the heritage building and it's award-winning design has been the 'face' of the 'brand'. However after 15 years in operation, in order to cater for future business expansion, Geographer Cafe would like to revamp the brand identity / identities. The designer will need demonstrate clear understanding of existing business and future plan before being appointed to carry out this project.

The expectation of the outcome by the end of the project will be:
1. GEOGRAPHER CAFE: NEW branding & related designs for the the existing Geographer Cafe, which would be applicable for new branches in the future. The BrandBook shall cover basic guideline for localisation and adoption.

2. GEOGRAPHER COFFEE: A distinctive offspring of the existing brand focusing on being a COFFEE SHOP, in order to separate from the Pub/Restaurant business.

3. GEOGRAPHER LOUNGE: A distinctive offspring of the existing brand focusing on being a JAZZ LOUNGE, in order to separate from the Pub/Restaurant business.

A Holistic Approach for all the sub-brands with the mother brand and OVERALL integration.

All designs shall demonstrate their visual application on both print and digital formats on various potential mediums.

All brands shall be independently self-sustained while able to appear in group.

Ideas and Designs must respond to its founding spirit - "A gathering place for travellers around the world" "A melting pot for individuals who share the same passion for geography, history, culture and food", Geographer Cafe has a vast range of rare maps collections as decorations as one of the founders used to be a Marine Engineer and has travelled around the world, which was how the idea of Geographer Cafe came to life. The design will be simple yet reflecting this founding history.

You will be asked to pitch for the project should you are interested. A concept board or the equivalent will be the only way to assist the clients make up their minds. There will be a board meeting to go through all the submissions before awarding the job.

Brand books / Visual Guideline
New logos
Packaging application
Website Mockup
Font / Typography
Basic write-ups
Signage application
Stationary design
*Final Submission in Working files

Sir you have rejected all entries without proper feedback. This not professional. All designers have put in a lot of time and efforts in designing the elements. If you want improvement, revision or changes; then those must be communicated. I would request you to please review and communicate with the designers which you think were going in right direction. We can come up with more interesting elements based on your feedback. Thanks.
