The company name is wal8net. This stands for "wallet network". Our platform allows mobile wallet users in one country to use their mobile wallets to pay at merchants while they are travelling abroad. We basically interconnect different mobile wallets in different countries, so users of those wallets can use them while travelling to pay at merchants belonging to other wallets who are members of wal8net. For example, you have a Malaysia mobile wallet X on your phone, you travel to Thailand where wallet Y which is based in Thailand is accepted at a cafe in bangkok. If both wallet X and wallet Y are members of wal8net, then you as a user of walllet X can pay with your mobile at the cafe where wallet Y is accepted. This is comparable to Visa and Mastercard for credit and debit cards, where your bank issues you a credit or debit card which you can use to pay anywhere in the world where visa or mastercard is accepted. We are doing the same thing for mobile wallets as visa and mastercard are doing for credit cards.
The logo you are designing will be used on websites, name cards, letterhead etc, but will also be displayed on shopfronts on a 15cmx15cm sticker which lets customers know that the can use their mobile wallet to pay there. It will be placed next to Visa and Mastercard and American Express stickers, so it will have to stand out and be instantly recognisable from it's shape and colours even from a distance.
Design: It must be fresh, modern, and unique. With a maximum of 3 colours. Try to find a way to play on the number 8 in the name to indicate payment or money transfer or global payment flow. We envision the number 8 to be a different colour from the rest of the characters in wal8net.
