Instrukce k soutěži

The logo design
• The brand name is Motivataboard
• The product associated with the brand is intended to motivate athletes to achieve their goals
• Although the brand is one word, I would like there to be a distinction between ‘Motivata’ and the word ‘board’. The point of difference in this product is the ability for the product to be used as a motivational tool hence it is important that the ‘motivat’ part stands out.
• I would like the design to have a retro feel to it (much the same as the nike retro or the adidas retro ranges) but to remain uncomplicated and simple. I would also like to make it clear that it is for athletes.
• My design idea – I don’t want to ‘influence’ your thinking too much but I thought it might look cool if the ‘v’ was a medal like this . But, like I said, I don’t want to influence you too much in your thinking…
• Colour – I am open to the inclusion of colour in the logo so long as it is consistent with the retro vibe. However, I would like any submitted design to be able to convert well into monochrome.
• I would like the word logo to be used
o on the product in a linear fashion. (the border of the product is 1.9cm thick – I would like it to fit nicely in this space)
o On the product packaging
o In social media advertising
o On a shopify website for the brand
• I would like the capability to scale the logo to any size without losing quality
• I will require standard logo suite formats, ie ai, eps, jpg etc.

Hello everyone! Thank you for your efforts. The font style I like is a retro style. Eg. I have microsoft word and the font there that is good is Bauhaus 93 - although I think this font is a little too heavy. I have 3 ideas to try using a similar retro font. Idea 1: Fill in the first 'O' and insert a retro star or a runner. Idea 2: Have a retro waving flag between the "motivata" and "board". Idea 3. Google the 'retro adidas' logo. Use the suggested 50's font but with the cut-out stripes going through it as with the retro adidas logo. In all instances, still differentiate the 'motivata' and 'board' by having the board in a lighter shade or a less dominant font. Thank you.

These things are key...1. linear design. The logo word needs to be easily visible in a 2cm horizontal margin of a product. Therefore simplicity is key. 2. This product is for athletes who are striving to meet their goals. Something that symbolises winning or sport/running would be great. 3. A retro vibe is key.
