Think Before Ink is a non-profit 501-C 3 - Our goal is to raise social awareness that people should always donate blood before they get a tattoo.

I need original artwork and not something off Canva. I need an artist or graphic artist capable of tattoo art who can deliver:

1. Logo ( company )
2. T-Shirt ( any cool design ) incorporating logo
3. T-Shirt - your choice graphic art to be displayed with logo on sleeve.
4. Graphic Poster to be used in tattoo parlors incorporating logo, info and any art you choose. ( see pdf sample info that needs to be included )
5. If you are handy at Wordpress or site design it will be a plus.
6. If you are capable of video editing it will be of use as well.
7. I will need business cards, perhaps flyers, etc.

About you :

1. You are free to do whatever you do best! I encourage freedom of expression - have a favorite piece you hope to get noticed? Let's try it...
all designs are acceptable : examples : colorful tats, charcoal designs, anime, retro, gaming, classic, rock n roll, freestyle, Mixed Martial Arts fighters and Extreme Sports, Urban Style design, Graffiti culture, Latin, Mexican and Asian/Japanese styles...ANYTHING! HAVE FUN!

What the project is :

I am a cancer survivor and I have started a non-profit company that raises awareness that if you get a tattoo you may not be allowed to donate blood for up to one year.

I started this organization after my family members got tattoos to honor me and then found out they could not contribute to my health. Had I needed their blood or stem cell donations I would have died because they got their tattoos...luckily I survived. I want to spread awareness.

Let me be clear : Our organization is not against tattoos...we simply wish to raise public awareness for tattoo safety and want to form partnership with the tattoo community to raise awareness and prevent people from getting a tattoo before considering donating blood.

Portions of sales and donations to the non-profit benefit patients by paying for home cleaning services, lawn care, and shopping assistance to those whom have lowered immune systems while going through medical treatments.

The site is under construction but I really want to start off with a great logo first and an initial t-shirt and flyer design that will be displayed in tattoo parlors who participate with us.

Beyond the contest :

Do you have a piece of art you love and want to get it noticed? I hope anyone who participates with us will allow me to use their designs. I want artists to be free to include their personal pieces of any kind to my site.

Obviously the company needs a standard logo, but any artist is welcome to join us to spread awareness.

If your logo design is not chosen as the main company logo then I hope you will consider allowing me to use it in my store on shirts. I am willing to share 25% of the revenue with any art on my site. My vision is to have 100's of designs to choose from with various pieces of art of all styles. Artists are encouraged to incorporate our website on their design...but not required to.

If a winner is chosen for the primary logo we will use the chosen logo design for the sleeves of shirts or in some spot on shirts designed or donated by other artists.

      Thanks Aaron...yes.... if I wasn't clear that's exactly what I'm trying to do...have people be aware they should donate blood BEFORE getting a tattoo...especially if they know of someone in their life that has recently gotten ill...or to see if they may qualify to donate marrow to a matching donor first is a good idea as well...

      What Parvez says is true, sealing a contest stop amateurs and scammers copying each other. The cons is that the design community can't help you to detect any design that infringe copyright like copied and stolen designs from shutterstock and other stockimage sites. Here's some tips; 1) ALWAYS check the designer's personal profile the following: description, portfolio and quality of designs in the portfolio, awards, reviews, recommendation, and personal details verifications status.

      From these infos you can understand a lot about the user you are dealing with. 2) Do your work. Search online yourself to see if the designs are stolen as i said above from shutterstock.com. Check as well google images, google "best stockimage sites" then research in the websites. You can report stolen designs clicking on report button inside the design entry. I hope these tips can help.
