Hand Jester Comedy is the premiere comedy promoter for upcoming and overlooked comedians in the UK. With a cheeky smile and a knowing grin we put on the most innovative comedy and formats in the capital. Colours: Blue, Garnet and Grey-Classic almost tartan. The Mascot A devilish rogue who knows where to find the funny. He is late 30s’ early 40’s handsome, with a glint of mischievous in his eye. The men want to be his best friend, the ladies want him to tell them dirty jokes and bed them. He has a few scars on his face from his battles with laughter. His outfit is Scottish tartan that covers his muscular build. He has a man purse on his waist that holds his wares. He is dressed in a jester’s outfit that is both cool and worn. (Steve McQueen; Gerard Butler) The Gauntlet is a new talent night in London where comedians have 4-5 minute to perform in front of a ruckus crowd. A VJ will play video clips throughout the night and will play a clip after each act surmising the vibe of the crowd. (A child getting smacked, a celebration, etc). It will be high energy and a badge of courage for all who attend. POSTER DESIGN # 1 1. The Gauntlet Our jester is standing in a giant open-palmed hand, (after all he is the ‘Hand’ Jester), the bad boy of comedy. The Jester’s right hand is extended to us as an invitation to join him, and his left arm behind his back in deference. His knees are slightly bent in curtsey. He has a wise smile and a gleam in his eye. His proportions make him look bigger as he leans to us due to the fish eye/ tilt shift effect. Below the giant hand a macabre crowd looks up, shadowed in his presence…but you get the feeling they could be a tough crowd below. The jester is standing in the giant hand, ready to leap from the palm and into the crowd darkened crowd below.
