Need a logo design for a kennel

I am needing a logo designed for a friend. The logo is for a kennel where she will be boarding and grooming dogs and cats. The logo they currently have is way to busy and will not be good for print on clothing, websites, etc.

I am needing a total rework of this done. They want to keep the font, that is the only thing they requested. She might consider changing it, if the logo looks right. Here is the attatched logo. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
