What we will have to do is prototype the hardware. Pretty standard if the project is successful and sold worldwide I would be expected to be listed in the patent as co inventor and also receive a 5 percent royalty pretty standard stuff. I say you should work with someone from Canada because it is pretty close. I have a sensor that could work really well and we could use two of them and make them communicate through Bluetooth. Anyways that is one idea ,,, best if you can also send me the data from your last attempt. Magnets can also be a factor say using magnetometers or other sensor.

Hi, I'm qualified at embedded programming. I used boars like MSP430, UDOO, ARDUINO, PIC. I'm familiar with matlab. Questions: 1. Can we add a sensor to club handle? And is it portable? If we can i can calculate displacement and angle. Object detection is hard topic. Playing with sensor is more easy. 2. Estimated project time? This is a new idea. So, it could take 2-3 months. Interested in this project as an engineer with lots of RF hardware design experience but also as a Golfer. I would say the Hardware/RF/antenna can be designed in a few weeks, the software swing analysis software would require some research to determine the accuracy of the swing Measurements you require. And the Integration would take two weeks. I would recommend that the first week is spent researching the hardware and software swing analysis software. C++ would be the usual approach to this. I have successfully assisted in design, project management, acquired approvals and manufacturing of a golf product for a customer in the US. It was a clamp on device which monitored data from the golfers swing and info was later transferred to a PC for analysis. I am familiar with some of the issues which may arise in the product of this type. I have a background in EE and Embedded systems for designs in automobiles (Climate Control Systems), Sensors, MCU's, Programming and Development. I am also familiar with the TI product line of sensors, dev kits and Wifi/BT/BLE modules. You would need a 3-axis GYROScope or Accelrometer to attain the data you are looking for. With a 3D printer, I can easily and cost effectively design and housing to hold the prototype for better results in the application and debugging.
