About the Job ENTRY-LEVEL MARKETING ASSISTANT/COORDINATOR Celerant Technology Corporation is a leading provider of premium, advanced retail management software for retail organizations. Our software, developed in-house, manages all areas of the retail business including point of sale, inventory management, warehouse, distribution, allocation, e-commerce, sales back office, advanced reporting and more. Celerant’s staff consists of several departments including Marketing, Sales, Development, Quality Assurance Testing, Hardware, Implementation and Training, and Technical Support. For more information, visit us at www.celerant.com. We are seeking an entry-level full-time Marketing Assistant. This person will report directly to the Marketing Communications Manager and will assist with helping promote our retail software, increase our brand awareness, and additionally assist the sales team with helping generate new sales leads. This person must be a strong candidate who is comfortable working independently and can trouble shoot issues and problems on their own. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Assistance- Outbound calls to sales leads, coordinating demo appointments for Sales Representatives and writing reference letters Client Relations- Maintain relationships with existing clients to help ensure overall client satisfaction with company product and services. Marketing/Sales Projects – Assist with assigned projects and meet deadlines without reminders Marketing Collateral–Supply copy for print materials including brochures and sell-sheets as well as press releases Email Marketing- Help generate ideas and create copy for ad campaigns and weekly e-mail blasts Website-Responsible for making sure all copy is updated on website and client portal on regular basis. Tradeshow Coordination – Work with Event Coordinator to prepare and research annual events for trade show calendar including coordination of company client conference (some travel may be required) SEM- Work with Digital Marketing Coordinator to continually improve SEO initiatives and rankings MISC – Follow up with all sales executives’ requests and orders and oversee shipment of all marketing materials REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications Strong problem-solving skills Able to multi-task and prioritize workload Show initiative and take on increased responsibilities without being asked to do so Excellent organizational & communication skills Strong copywriting skills MUST be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point (NO EXCEPTION) Photoshop and Illustrator knowledge a bonus!
