Hi, I need more information about your project in order to give you a more accurate estimate of the time required and the fee. Is it really important to use 1Gigabit ethernet since all switches and routers are backward compatible with 10/100MBps? What about the hardware? Perhaps something like ethernet shield with w5100? What should the code do ? Just talk to DHCP and take an IP address, then listen to a speciffic port (udp or tcp) and do something when something comes? It shouldn't be terribly difficult. Something about myself. I have initially worked as a software engineer in a telecom company developing software for specialzed hardware (telephone exchanges). Although I am new to freelancer, I got involved into various embedded programming projects ranging from self standing robot toys to sensors and dataloggers.
