It’s been close to two decades in print publication – holding the post of Assistant Editor in two prominent dailies - and I remain a firm believer in the mantra that learning never stops. The powers to be will understand that being a learner is not a drawback, but strength and the willingness to evolve constantly. This quality, I feel, is essential to make the product that passes through my hands a dynamic one.
While the evolution within is a constant, so is adherence to perfection. I will not be embarrassed to call myself a nit-picker when it comes to the written copy, getting the perfect angle of a picture, that headline, or those ellipses…and delivering the complete package – error-free and beautiful.
I have worked with India’s leading English dailies, including a tabloid as an Assistant Editor, where daily challenges become a necessity, because without them, one stagnates. I currently am section head for Muscat Daily in Oman (Apex Press and Publishing) who is seeking a higher, bigger role that complements my wide experience and uses my skills to the optimum, giving me room to ideate, implement and improve.
With experience has come the ability to lead a team, and also to deliver with negligible or no reinforcements. High-pressure environments have acted as a key to unlock creativity and deliver the best in the race against the clock.
Looking forward to hear from you.
