We are looking for writers to write blog articles for our new website focused on helping American households save on their home energy costs. The website currently has about 15 articles showcasing examples that we'd like.
Each article should be accurate and well-researched (with links to other online sources). We prefer longer articles with approximately 1,000 words, but good original topics with about 500 words are also welcome. We'd like articles in fluid native English.
We welcome originally articles, but we also provide existing material and topics to work with. We are also looking for people who can interview others either via phone or over email. Interviewees will be online during business hours in U.S. timezones. So, we are looking for writers who can fulfill the following:
(1) write originally researched articles
(2) write articles based on material we provide to help you get started
(3) write articles based on interviews over phone, voice chat or email
(4) write articles based on recordings of interviews
International writers welcome, but written English must be fluid and American native. If you choose to write original topics, we ask that you run it by our team first. We prefer and will pay extra for writers who have written for topics in residential energy, home improvement and home maintenance.
Our blog covers a wide variety of topics around residential energy and saving money maintaining a home:
- How to save money on electricity and utility bills
- Explaining and reviewing new and existing products for homes from perspective of saving energy use and money
- Explanations of residential energy concepts
- Interesting stories and news about energy consumption and use in the United States
- Tips or explanations of Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects for home improvement
- Electric versions of various things, e.g. electric cars
- Solar power and other alternative energy for the home
- Tips and ways to cut cost around the home
- Interviews of interesting people in the field of home improvement and home energy
Pay can be based on each article or per hour. Our payment is flexible depending on demonstrated quality of articles. We prefer experienced blog writers and people who have experience with the topics we listed above.
