Hi, We have experience in similar project and have spare couple of ESP12E with Arduino environment set up for programming and debugging. We can order some ESP12F if needed while we start on the existing ones. By LAN do you mean a wired LAN or wireless LAN. Assuming its a wireless LAN since is an ESP8266 we will do the following: 1. Powering up device w/o known access point or pressing a switch at anytime will switch device to captive AP mode. (Already have the libraries for it) 2. Other wifi enabled device can connect to it. And any http operation with will open configuration page. Where the other device can input wifi SSID/Password. ESP will try to connect and go to client mode immediately, on failure it will return back to AP mode. (Already have the libraries for it) 3. Relay set/get and temperature can be available via webpage or mqtt (Already have the libraries for it) 4. OTA will be https download from server (Already have the libraries for it) If it is wired LAN we can can use a serial LAN (have the hardware) and interface with ESP.
