AR tracking stabilisation for a cube

I am an AR-Developer at a start-up company called MovieMask, we are working on a Developer Kit for Augmented Reality and one of the parts of the kit is a cube. We are using Vuforia plugin in Unity and writing the project in C#

Problem:

When the tracking of the cube is lost, the model on the cube disappears and appears quite often. It makes the experience irritating

Possible solution:

Write an optimising code AKA "extended tracking" (a function that exists in Vuforia, but does not work on objects that are moving) for the cube.

- If the cube was still when the tracking of the cube was lost model continues to be in place until the tracking is back

- if the cube was moving when the tracking is lost the model should continue moving in the same direction until the cube is lost or the model is out of screen (maybe use lerp function in Unity?) You need to have a good understanding of math functions that are used in unity, not so much augmented reality or Vuforia

- The model should snap smoothly back in place when the cube is tracked again

I am definitely open to other solutions and improvements. We are also planning on implementing and work a lot more on this project (that we will publish soon), so, please, contact if you are interested in this kind of things.
