I have worked on Biomass/Municipal Solid waste (MSW)-to-fuel technologies. The technology for transforming of MSW and agricultural waste into clean fuel and pure water has been jointly developed by Vidyan Biocommerce and the DBT-ICT Centre for Energy Biosciences at Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. This novel process has introduced combination of multiple inventions such as the Catalytic Thermo Liquefaction (CTL) method for producing easily digestible feed for anaerobic digestion and production of methane in a well-engineered Anaerobic Digester to produce high yield of methane and nutrient rich water. I was involved in Basic Engineering Design Package which includes -Project Design Basis -Process Description -Process flow diagram with material balance -Piping and Instrumentation diagrams -Utility Summary -Equipment List -Process datasheets -Plot Plan/Layout -Project Costing I have worked on biomass-to-liquid fuel technologies (India’s first continuous cellulosic alcohol technology demonstration plant). I have been involved in several hands-on lab projects to commercialize it and that is related to, -Material and energy balance -Process development and optimization -Lab scale and pilot plant study -Plant commissioning -Optimization of demonstrated plant -Handling of MF, UF, and NF membranes -PFD, PI&D, SOPs  Completed work on the project ‘Synthesis and Characterization of Hybrid Membranes and their Applications’ during masters.
