Export, Extract Web Data from Specific Site (MusicAtlas)

1. We will provide you the following information once we get chose a winner, we will provide you with: Website address login password DIRECTIONS 2. Go to the left panel with the blue background. The first link is "Records." 3. Click on "Records." A list of different "categories" should pop up on the same left panel with the same blue background. Te first link is Associations, followed by Booking Agents, CD Compilations and so on... 4. From this list, we will extract the data. The categories we are extracting data from are: a. National Press b. Regional Press c. Web Blogs - do this 1st*** d. Web Radio - do this 1st*** e. Web Zines - do this 1st*** 5. I've already created the excel spreadsheets for each of the categories, filled in the columns names, and have attached the spreadsheets to this PM. 6. Steps To Extract the data from each category (listed above): We will use "National Press" as an example. These steps work for all the other categories. a. Click "National Press" b. Go to the middle search option entitled "National Press Basic Search" c. Leave all the fields blank (empty) d. Click "Basic Search" button in the same section e. A list of about 211 records should pop up for the "National Press" category f. The first press company should be: 20th Century Guitar - *NO LONGER IN PRINT* f1. Click the name of the company and a pop up box should appear f2. All the fields we need to extract from this press company is listed in the pop up box: see the excel spreadsheet note: If there are additional fields, such as a 2nd email instead of 1 email, please add a 2nd column for this field. For example, there will be 2 email columns. f3. Not for the excel spreadsheet: (a)If there are more than 3 contact fields, please add these contacts columns, for example contact 4, contact title 4, contact lead 4, contact ph/ext 4.
