HI, I have excellent experience in Excel and Access and other Microsoft related. I have written complex macros like creating a BoM for an ERP, creating P/L, Cashflow statements from a database. For your problem we need to do the followng 1) Set up a rule in outlook which will move the files to a folder once the mail arrive 2) A scheduler process should be invoked at appropriate interval which will open the email and down load the attachment and parse the file as per the rules given by you 3) parse the file This needs interface with mail server if you need complete automation. Would like to know what is the mail carrier you are using? Based on that we can set the notification and see if that be can extended to trigger this process automatically with out any background process running. I would say this could be the only slightly complex part in this project. I have worked in Infosys a top IT services company for more than 10 years and now i have started on my own. As part of my infosys tenure i have been executing projects for Microsoft as a customer across various technologies like DotNet, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS. have executed many turn key projects for them in their licensing space which is very critical for them.
