I am needing help with an randomized algorithm in excel. I am wanting to create a customized food plan, where every food imaginable is used, and the database will completely randomize recipes/meals based on basic preference the user puts in. Firstly, users put in their desired % of fats, carbs and protein (which adds to 100%, and then is taken into account for the future food plan). Users can also put in their favourite foods, which will also be used in a forumulae. I have a table of foods with different measurements etc but need help in a randomized model. i have been using =randbetween which has helped randomising the ingrediants/food groups but i need help in selection based on pre-defined things. For example right now my code could randomly select a meal with two food groups (protein, and carbs), it would then pick an item from each (example, chicken and pasta) but then the measurements would be off. Help? Hope this makes sense.

Hey, when you say Randomized based on user preference, you mean that the recipes should be selected randomly but also take into account the stored preferences. Right? This can be done by a combination of RandBetween and some custom lists. Can you share a sample of your existing data and an example of how it is working now and how you would like the results filtered once the changes are done.
