Analyze some Data

I need data sorted. I have 29 XLS files with 500 cells of information. I need all cells that contain 140 characters or less removed from the 29 existing files and moved into one XLS file. The new file would contain only data that has 140 characters or less. The remaining data (of cells that contain more than 140 characters) in the 29 existing files would need to be reshuffled so that each file only contains 500 cells of information.
