Collimated Holes, Inc. is a manufacturer of custom glass fiberoptics and specialized glass parts. We have a resistance heater oven that is controlled by an Eurotherm 2408 attached to a custom 208V electrical panel/box. One of the large fuses (660V 50A) in the electrical panel has started blowing partway through every oven heat cycle we've recently tried to run. We would like someone local who can come to our facility in Campbell, California to troubleshoot the control and/or power panel to identify and repair the isssue. While interest in providing remote technical assistance is appreciated, we are looking for someone who can perform the work here in person. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Thanks!

your controller is fine but something is going wrong with your heating elements, according to my knowlege and expirence, your heating element having short circuit kindly check the terminal connections carefully, check the resistance of ground terminal and supply terminal and also check the wires that was all which i told you free of cost :D if u need further help you can write me or can contact me on skype

To be simple I have been doing temperature controlled stuff like this on and off for nearly 30 years. Most of it around plastics processing machinery where they use a lot of resistance heaters. I recognize the sorts of equipment you are using like solid state relays to deliver the power to the heater. The most likely cause is that your heating element is partly failed and has a fault that partly shorts once it gets hot enough - that's more common than you think. The other thing could be that the fuses are the wrong type. Fuses have a current and a reaction rating. Circuit breakers are similar and its called the trip curve. For fuses you will see fast blow or slow blow. If you want to send me a copy of the electrical schematics I can go over them and get back to you. Can you also send me details of the fuse like the actual part number. My bet would be on the element is starting to fail. I can tell you how to check for the heating element and tell you or your electrical technician what to look for. Either way I would like to get some money.
