Hi there. I'm not very conversant with AutoCAD. However, I'm talented at Inventor. I just haven't yet applied for certification. In Inventor, what you're talking about can be done using something called iLogic. Using this, I can connect to your excel file, read the contents of the cells, and use them to build parts for you. And it's all done in a matter of seconds, meaning that your 100+ drawings can be created in a minute or so, depending on how fast your workstation is. If you want to "press a button in excel" to get your parts, I'm not promising that I can do that. However, you'll be able to press that button in Inventor to get what you need. Maybe, as one of the last milestones, I can implement that excel-button-press. Have you used Inventor before? If you haven't, and wouldn't want to move to it from AutoCAD, what I propose to do is to automate the export of AutoCAD-compatible .dwg files from Inventor .dwg/.ipt files. If you accept the drawings in a solidworks environment I can easily manage that by using design tables. Also if that drawings are belong to a 3d solid parts, I can calculate properties(mass volume...)

This is an interesting project, in the solution that I am going to build we will need this fields in the Excel file: Geometry, Geom Parameters Geometry: The shape (Circle, line, point) Geom Parameters: For Circle: Radius, (x,y) position For Line: StarPoint(x,y), EndPoint(x,y) For Point: (x,y) So, the script will read an excel file, read each line and parse the input to a library calles PyCad which will be the one used to create the autocad drawing, each drawing will be stored according the name of the input excel file.
