Build LMS site for product training

We need to build an lms portal for our clients to train to use our product. We were thinking about a wordpress site with learndash, for example, but we are open to other ideas and suggestions from someone with the know-how. We need to put up our training courses showing progress in a gamification style with certificates, manuals, videos, FAQs, etc. When we say gamification, we mean someone to design the graphics badges and icons (so a developer with graphic design skills) We would like to offer some of our trainings for our VIP clients but that other users can see the option to upgrade to do them. Therefor we would like to see the possibilities to integrate this lms with our database (own site admin, etc).
