Create a Two Designs

Brize (pronounced with a long “i”, like in wise) is a mobile app designed to help individuals elevate their career success through stronger emotional intelligence. Most individuals are unaware of the importance of emotional intelligence to a successful, happy career. Research has proven the contribution to career success is: 60% emotional intelligence 25% intellect 15% functional area technical skills The biggest challenge facing Brize is shifting the belief of today’s young professionals about what contributes to career success, away from intelligence and technical skills to emotional intelligence. To help communicate our educational message, we are looking to create two graphics that quickly grasp someone’s attention and encourage them to read deeper to learn more. The first graphic represents the percentage components of emotional intelligence noted above. The most important element of this graphic is the 60% emotional intelligence fact. The design of this graphic should call a viewer’s attention immediately to this fact. The other two components, intellect, and technical skills should be included for reference and completeness. Attached is a pie chart depiction of the percentages, but it does not achieve the goal of calling attention to the 60% element. It is attached for information only, not explicit design guidance. The second graphic depicts the skills associated with strong emotional intelligence. Conceptually, these skills are building blocks to emotional intelligence. The objective of this graphic is to demonstrate how the skills build on one another. It should also illustrate that high competency of each is needed to achieve strong emotional intelligence. No one skill is more important than another, but some skills are needed before someone can strengthen another. For example, strong active listening is needed to develop and strengthen problem-solving. Attached are two simple ideas about this graphic. And again, these attachments are not included to suggest a specific design but rather to help further explain the concept and desired outcome. From a style perspective, we are looking for a modern, clean design. These graphics will have a broad range of uses, from helping educate visitors to our website to capturing attention in digital advertising.
