Designing cards for board game

I want 6 templates for what could eventually become full decks of cards in a new game. The cards will be the main mechanism of gameplay and will come in 6 different varieties (some 2.25” x 3.5” and some 1.75” x 2.5” cards). Once we complete this preliminary design project, we may move on to another project of laying them out for print. The game is about arms manufacturers and suppliers during the US Civil War. Since the cards are so central to gameplay, I want great designs that are simple to understand and easy to distinguish between the different types of cards. The design should be: * Straightforward and simple (flat cartoon like) * Colonial theme - but not too whimsical or self-mocking * Lightweight Many cards will have both images and text, so they must be easy read but also visually appealing. Cards of different decks should be distinguishable, but clearly belong to the same game. Output ----------- All designs including all rights for usage in template form. Final files delivered as a pdf. Design to be completed by end of May/early-June. Communication ------------------------- We will need a detailed initial chat at the start of the project to discuss the game and what we are trying to do. Thereafter I expect regular communication and updates on status. Particularly at the beginning there will need to be fast turnaround and response from requests for trying / changing positions etc. I work from a Mac and don’t have much design software - so all mock-ups and views before the final handover should also be delivered in PDF for me to view and comment Bidding ------------ The more you can show me relevant pieces you have done and the more personal you make the response the better the chance of working together. Ask me good questions - it will help both of us in deciding if we want to go ahead together. I will have a big preference for working with someone in the same (or close) time zone to me - East coast USA - I only speak English and I expect total fluency in English. I also have a preference working with an individual over a team.
