semaphore operations

hello friend: I have looked the Chandy-Misra-Haas algorithm, the algorithms is not very hard to implement, and according your description, the semaphore server will be running on a server, and other machine or processes will request it for create, up, down or delete a semaphore via Network, right? and the deadlock detection will be executed automatically when a process request down a semaphore but it has down by other process. and if you have more details about how to implement the semaphore server, I can implement it for you. and, I'd using C language to implement this server. it's will running under the Linux.

I have implemented chandy-misra-haas algorithm in the past, as part of an academic project for the subject "Advanced operating systems". That was done in Java, but since I also have good amount of experience in C++ and C, I can program it in any of those (C,C++,Java)

I will give deliver the project in c code together with unit test code. Not clear what programming language needs to be used.
