Skillprover UK Ltd are looking for talented Test Authors/Compilers who have at least 5 years experience in the following skill test area:- Java Programming The task is to write a technical skill test of which consists of 25 questions with 5 multiple choice answers. Here are the characteristics of this test:- Each test covers only 1 skill area above. 5 Multiple Choice Answers (MCAs) for each question. Feasible MCAs so as not to allow choice by elimination easily. Strength must be in the order of intermediate to difficult. The test must encompass questions divided into the following subject areas with the number of questions in brackets:- Java Language Set (19) Sun Java VM Specific Questions (3) MS Java VM Specific Questions (3) The basic questions must ask questions from all areas of the language set but I would like to see 3 proprietary questions from both the MS and Sun environments since this will provide for a rich Java Test. Microsoft is transitioning users off MSJVM in 2007 but there is still demand for good MS java programmers. The questions must not be too easy, since the answers will be easy to spot. The selected coder would ideally have a project completed using strong Java and the obligatory feedback. A moderator will certify the questions. Bear in mind that the Test Taker will have approximately 22 seconds to answer each question. Each question must be realistically answerable within this time frame by a strong Java developer. The chosen compilers MUST be degree qualified with at least 4 years experience using Java. I will supply an empty Microsoft Access database, which will be used to enter your questions and answers. Contained within is 1 non-live test example supplied to allow you to see how it should be constructed. You will also have first refusal to 'cycle' your authored test. That is, replace 10 questions with new similarly structured questions, and for this you can expect to be paid a fee. You may be asked to validate someone else’s test if that is in your subject area. No payment will be made until tests have been received and QA'd. This is an easier task than you think. We are interested in applications from all over the world and we make payment by GetACoder escrow. This project might suit individuals or an organisation that has the personnel to develop technical tests for us perhaps on a contractual basis. Remember, I can only accept bids at US$120.
