We work with a company that builds lead management systems for the construction industry. We are responsible for maintaining and updating their mobile apps built within React JS. We have a project where we need to update any financial values within the app. The app currently displays everything in GBP. We want to make it so that the user can select a setting of either GBP or EUR. When they select it, it will save it against their profile. Then anytime they access the system, if the user has selected EUR, it will automatically convert any GBP values to EUR within the UI layer. There are approximately 30 places where there are financial values within the app. The scope is to: 1) Create settings page where they can select their preferred currency. 2) Pass their preferred currency back to our API so that their preferred currency is saved. 3) Connect to our API to get the current GBP to EUR exchange rate. 4) Update 30 locations where GBP value is shown, to automatically convert the financial values to EUR. Please quote an amount for implementing this project, OR submit an hourly rate within your response.

Hi, I'm a developer from Glasgow with about 18 years industry experience, the last few focusing on React. Plenty of info on profile so I'll not ramble on. For this project, I'd break it down as: 1. Read/write user settings Do you already have an API endpoint for this kind of thing or would this have to be implemented? Or is it a generic user object written to Mongo etc.? UI is itself simple enough - a toggle (or radio button if you plan on supporting further currencies) and probably some explanation about how exchange rates are calculated. 2. Update price displays throughout Depending how you are managing state, it feels like preferences should be loaded on login, then anything pulling prices from an API can map them in selectors. Or, if that's not possible, a specific component to take in price and currency and output the converted value. Do you want to round to nearest whole values or such (i.e. avoid things like 123.72Euro)? Anyway, feel free to fire over any questions. Cheers, K
