IPTV Platform Development

Hello. My organization has recently acquired distribution rights from many TV networks here in the US and are in early development of launching our own paid TV subscription service (IPTV). Currently, we have several solutions that we are hoping to piece together to achieve our launch quickly and cost effectively. That said however, there are several other needed solutions that we are considering building on our own simply to better align with our business model. I am searching for someone with extensive experience in similar projects. I will require any freelancers applying for this job to share only specifically related examples of projects they have done. Unfortunately, I cannot consider anyone without seeing examples. Ideally, this candidate can be retained for a long job with us and essentially become our “Development Specialist”. What needs to be done? Well, the short answer is get us up and running quickly and affordably; but here is some of the details: - Content Distribution / Stream management: o The current plan is to utilize a 3rd party platform that will manage the stream process in regards to content input, transcoding, and possibly server requirements. I am looking for someone with related experience that will be able to not only oversee the configurations and overall set up, but possibly suggest ideal 3rd party platforms we can use . - Middleware: o We currently think it is possible to also utilize some 3rd party platforms, integrate other 3rd party solutions (specifically CRM, payment processing, live chat, customer care, etc) and create from scratch our own solutions (specifically in regards to the EPG development, UI and app design). o EPG customization. This is an important part for us. We are looking to acquire EPG data directly from a reliable provider here in the US, and then use the data to redefine the typical EPG/channel guide experience. We will be looking to utilize the data provided from the provider to layout a newer channel/tv guide experience. We will look to display linear TV data in a OTT format. We will market television and make it searchable for subscribers in a similar fashion that of Netflix, Amazon and other VOD providers layout their OTT library.
