Create 50yr Anniversary Logo

We are a Sea Sports Club in the process of starting to plan our 50 yr anniversary next year and we would like a 50yr anniversary logo created as well as a slight update on our current logo. Current logo to evolve towards more of a ‘windy’ type look which signifies the evolution of the clubs exciting new chapter. The seagull could still stay on the flag but the “ORSSC” can come off as it will be on the circle logo. I've attached some examples (South Perth Yacht Club) Notes to consider - - Wind across a pennon suggests movement — both forward and tacking (approaching obliquely when circumstances require), and a sense of freedom e.g. wind in your hair. It is very dynamic. - A rope outer frame makes sense for a club that is primarily yacht based, but for Sea Sports would be more suitable to have 20 rivets in a circle. Rivets are common on sea craft. "20" ties in with the sections on a dart board. - If the club's initials are replaced by their full name in the circumference, the gull will need to be repositioned to look balanced on the triangle. This new placement will mean that a double-ripple will be needed in the flag to prevent any part of the gull folding under on the static "snapshot-in-time" logo version. - If you look at the current gull in isolation, it's been made to fit an equilateral triangle that points left. That's the direction for rewind i.e. it looks backwards in time. Flip the gull in the other direction means it is moving forwards, into the future. The backwards facing gull could then be used for retrospective "The Way We Were" articles and social media posts all throughout 2023. - A solid-coloured flag has less sense of movement. Try to visualise the SPYC flag all in red. It's the warping and distortion of the surface design on it that gives it a sense of 3-dimensionality. All white flags won't work well at all. Possibilities to rectify could be things like corporate-blue border on the long sides, or corporate-blue horizon line, etc. There are nautical rules about colours and designs. - Moving into the circumference, Ocean Reef (across the top-half) is 10-characters, Sea Sports Club (across the bottom half) is 15-characters. Due to this spacing, it means that the pennant tip won't successfully hang downwards like in SPYC version. - Anniversary colours :: 50th is "gold" anniversary i.e. yellow gold. ✓ workable - There's a subtle lighting effect over the SPYC "gold" to give it a hint of metallic-ness which would be good for our logo too. SUMMARY - 1 x logo design to fit a circumference (as per example 1 attached) 1 x logo design to have circumference logo and 50yrs together (as per example 2 attached) Current logo and style guide with colours attached.
