I would propose a desktop app with a local SQLite DB. Instead of copying the files directly to DropBox, the desktop app would provide an interface where: 1. You select the file. 2. Attach keywords to the file. The app would copy the files to DropBox and provide an easy to use interface for searching and opening the documents.
