Building a Messaging/Social Network App (with a twist)

What I Need: I am looking for an experienced iPhone developer/team of developers who can develop an app for me at a very competitive price. However, I cannot give away many details of the project at this moment in time and before we start work on the project you (and your team) will have to sign an NDA(s). FIRST, we will need you to develop a working prototype of the app from sketches of the layout and detailed descriptions of the functionality. You will need to give regular updates and reports on progress. This prototype will then be beta-tested by my team, then we will have a graphic designer design the layout and THEN you will need to update these changes to the app to integrate the new design and ALSO possibly minor changes in functionality in order to create a launch-version. This is all included in your bid amount. IN THE FUTURE: The app will need to be converted for Android and Blackberry (if you can offer these too then that is a bonus but do NOT include this in your initial bid) and the software will have to be updated for new functionality and improvements (again, NOT included in initial bid). Thus, we have potentially lots of future work for you too. Therefore, what your bid includes is 1) an initial development of a working prototype, 2) revision of the app to include the designed graphics and 3) one round of functionality revisions and changes. The developer(s) will have to: - Have a wealth of experience developing mobile apps. - Be fluent in either English, Spanish or German. - Have a portfolio of apps he/she/they produced in the past. - Be creative and be able to take the initiative. - Give a rough estimation of the number of working hours required to complete the project. - Have 2 iPhones at your disposal for you to test working functionality (as it is primarily a communication app). - Be able to video chat via Skype in order to give details of progress, have meetings/discussions and ask questions about the App. You do NOT need to be good at design. A graphic designer will do the graphics after the prototype version of the app has been made and then you will add these changes into the launch version of the app. The Application: The app combines the functionality of several, either already existing apps or core OS functions, to create an advanced messaging app. There are in total 10 major different parts of the app, each part with its own functionality too. The prime features are messaging functionality (text, photo and video), shared calendar functionality and a shared photo gallery to give a rough idea of the technicalities involved. Also, the user will need to be able to change the language of the app and therefore the text must come from a database (or something similar). You do not retain any copyright of the Application or the Code. All is handed over to my company. Your code must be clean and commented so another programmer could pick up where you left off if for some reason we go our separate ways. To give you an idea of the complexity of the programming, although I am obviously not a mobile developer, I am an experienced web engineer and I could program the raw functionality (aka the prototype version) within 20 working hours using simple PHP, MySQL and HTML. We would like to continue to work with the initial developer in the future for all updates so obviously it is in your interested to put in a competitive bid with a view to winning our future business as well.
