SCOPE: REQUEST FOR QUOTATION FOR A SIMPLE ANDROID APP VERSION: 2.0 DATE: 03.10.2017 Please send your detailed quotation for the RFQ scope below. Requests for general app coding/design context • Frontend framework to be used: android studio latest stable version • Logic language to be used: Java • Backend: Firebase • Should use string resources for easy localization • Should have versioning control mechanism built-in • Should have Javadoc documentation/comments for each part of the code, not only for classes and methods but also for variables/constants and other declarations. Well documentation is a MUST • Compatible with API 16 and later • Use best practices, common design patterns and boilerplates • Comply with material design principles • Use support libraries wherever possible • All major activities should be a different class • No hardcoded constants please • No code repetitions please • All assigned names should be self explanatory and follow best practice conventions • Testing procedure to be followed should be explicitly specified in your quotation • Final version before the production one should have debug log entries everywhere possible • Time to complete clean and fully tested version should be specified • Payment details should be specified • The procedure for code maintenance should be explained in detail • The procedure for adding new features should be explained in detail • All design and graphic assets shall be provided by me, no design service is required. • What the App should do, functionality scope • The main purpose of the app is to gather mobile phone usage (calls, data/internet usage, SMS usage), send this information to Firebase, run a logic and return result to the app • Once the app is installed a splash screen shall be viewed, it will stay on screen for a pre specified time and will fade away • After the splash screen, 3 app “how to use” screen shall be viewed. At this point user shall have an opportunity to watch a YouTube video about the app and how to use it • After the “how to” screens home screen shall be viewed • Home screen shall have links to other screens of the app • User will be required to enter chosen username and password. All additional information available about the user shall be collected (OS version, device brand/model/type, location, etc.) • During all the steps explained above a background thread shall be run • Background thread shall collect following historical data from content providers: call log/history, data/internet usage (carrier and Wi-Fi usage to be separated), SMS sent/received (quantity but not the content). This background thread should be run as fast as possible so that when user finished username/password registration the results to be returned should be ready • Once the background thread is finished (historical data collected) the returned cursor should be converted to JSON and sent to Firebase • The data sent to Firebase shall be input to a logic (to be specified by me) • There will be a database created and maintained by me in Firebase. The logic provided by me shall use the historical data and database to calculate the resulting data to be returned to the user • The returned/calculated data shall be presented both in text-fields and graphical representations to the user • If the historical data collected is not enough to make meaningful calculations user shall be informed. In this case the app will go into data collection phase for a specified amount of time (record outgoing/incoming calls, record data usage (both Wi-Fi and carrier), record number of SMSs sent/received • Several widgets shall be on device home screen to give the user several useful information • Both in-app purchases and Admob integration shall be ready to use • Optional feature: it should be possible to share the results via Facebook, Whatsup, Email, Twitter ------------------ o0O0o ------------------
