Our team needs a small PHP function that, when run, will read the current list of CloudFlare IPs ([login to view URL]) and update our AWS EC2 firewall with those new IPs. The function should be called like this: cloudflareFirewall(port INT); Once called, the function should access our EC2 firewall, and remove all existing rules for the given port, and add in all the current CloudFlare IPs (with netmask) for the given port.

Hi, I am a British web developer and server administrator with lots of experience on AWS. I will use the AWS SDK for PHP to write your function in PHP exactly as described. Curl to fetch the cloudflare page, parse the IP and subnets from each line and feed it into your EC2 security group (I presume this is the firewall you use?). Regards, Mark

Hi, I have a added the cloudflare CDN to a couple of sites, and I manage over 20 AWS infrastructure. I am assuming that you have a Cloudflare account and have API access. For AWS, I will have to use the PHP SDK and make the PHP script run from one of your EC2 servers. How frequently do you ant to run the script ? Thanks -- Jay

guess it is possible while I'd suggest to utilize the PHP-CLI (executed by crontab), because user apache (or www-data) won't be able to configure and reload the ufw firewall ruleset (could allow him to do so, but this may compromise the basic idea of a firewall).
