Virtual Hard Disk driver

We need to be able to register a drive letter in Windows. For example F: or G: or whatever. The major point is that all file operations on this drive should be redirected to our software. We should be able to register a call-back functions that will be called on each file operation - open, read, write, seek, close etc. The reason we need this driver is because we need to execute applications on one machine (local) that will work with files on a remote machine. We cannot use regular windows file share for this purpose, neither we can use VPN. So, we are going to register a drive letter on the local machine, and redirect all file operations to the remote machine. Your job is to deliver a software that registers the driver letter and forwards all file operations to our software. We will handle the rest - transferring the requests to the remote machine and executing them on the remote computer. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
