Coders: This is a revised bid posting from the original Convert, Create and Add - HTML to PHP and PHP, mySQL bid posted on August 8, 2005. We are in talks with coders about hiring one team to manage all of our coding and web hosting maintenance needs. If you are interested please review the information carefully, post your bid amount then lets set up a day and time to discuss the deliverables in detail in a bid chat session. Please review our online store at [login to view URL] before placing your bid. **FYI - Our osCommerce 2.2 ms2 online store is customized and contains many additional front-end and backend features.I was the project manager on all bids related to the store and can easily explain how the customizations are performed and how the store is functioning.** You will need to agree to set days and times where you will be working on this project so that we can meet online in order for us to communicate the details to one another. This Buyer prefers to communicate and post ALL messages on RAC. At times and only when absolutely necessary will we use messenger services outside of RAC. We will give you temporary access to osCommerce admin backend, FTP access to .../store/ directory and if and when necessary phpmyadmin access. We are reasonable people to work with. Thank you Bassmintmusic ## Deliverables **BE SURE TO LOOK AT THE ZIP ATTACHMENT FOR MORE DETAILS TO SPECIFIC SECTIONS THAT NEED TO BE WORKED ON** WE WILL GIVE YOU THE DETAILS ON WHAT CONTENT TO KEEP AND WHAT TO DISCARD FROM THE OLD HTML PAGES - WE WILL ALSO POST A SCHEMATIC OF THE NEW DESIGN LAYOUT & SITE MAP OF THE NEW FLOW OF THE PHP PAGES *** Potentially 50 html pages need to be converted to PHP 4+ pages (or whatever version is on our server) and or linked to or from other PHP pages maybe less (35 - 40 pages is more like it). **Please review [login to view URL] and the related links on that page.***** *** You will eliminate the three links on the present HTML pages near the top of each page *** **i. Convert static HTML web pages found on [login to view URL] to PHP pages** and place them under a new URL (New URL to be announced when needed)**SEE ZIP ATTACHMENT FOR INFO & DETAILS FOR THIS SECTION** **ii. Check for links to Delete and links to Add to PHP pages** to the links area at the bottom of each php page where the links appear and each table where a specific link should be. a) Add or Remove Links - Throughout our online store there are many pages that link to other pages. Check all the links to these pages and connect whatever links may not be connected to the correct page or to the page it should be linked to. **v. Edit Customer Register page in backend** a) It needs to look like the Customer Register page on the frontend. Fields need to contain and line up in the same order/ layout as the frontend fields etc. It also needs to retain the same information that was input for that customer on the frontend in the backend. It's ok to keep the backend template blue. **vi. Edit Customer/ Orders/ Invoice or Receipt page** a) remove osCommerce logo and add [login to view URL]'s. Will post .PSD logo for you. **vii. All large and small banners and images need to appear in secure and trusted zones in IE 6+, All Firefox, Opera, Safari and SSL key needs to be visible in task bar etc.** **viii. Identify and define to us what image sections are which:** a) When it comes to the image pixel size/ section there are three or four image upload options. We need to know which upload area is associated with each section image upload option. b) Adjust the pixel size or images throughout the store to look smooth. So they are not warped, stretched or blurred. **ix. Remove some of the osCommerce pics/ icons.** We will let you know which ones to keep and which ones to delete. For instance the Surfer guy on the Congratulations page after you sign up and Register needs to be removed. **BY ACCEPTING THIS BID YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING BE SURE TO READ THE DETAILS BELOW** 1) Complete a fully-functional working program(s), in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done, upload content and agreements, and make sure all links are linked to the correct destination 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased or forfeited. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) Coder agrees to only use our servers, directories and databases to upload our content and only our content. He/she will not upload their content or any other company's or individual's content. If Buyer finds out coder has used its server for storage, display purpose, e-commerce or for anything other then what Buyer is using it for the Buyer has the right to cancel this bid and be reimbursed all monies deposited without a penalty for any unauthorized use of its property. 5) Coder will forfeit the bid amount (or fees) if he/she misses more than one deadline. Buyer does not want to enter into arbitration unless absolutely necessary. Buyer's intent is to receive all work agreed to be performed in a timely fashion by the due date. Buyer also understands more time may be needed to finish the project. If a deadline is going to be missed the Coder must alert Buyer as soon as possible to give Buyer the option to extend the bid or enter into arbitration if necessary. i) The Coder agrees that they will forfeit whatever work has been completed up until that point and uploaded on Buyers server in full as a 'work for hire' and no payment will be given. The 'work for hire' will be deemed paid for in lost time and owned by Buyer as stated in accordance with paragraph 3 herein these deliverables. 6) Coder will not replicate, transfer, download or copy any files whatsoever without the express written or electronically transmitted consent of Buyer. Buyer will first post their consent on RAC bid message board whether or not Coder can perform any of the above actions. Coder will forfeit its bid amount if Buyer finds out that Coder has done so without its permission. ## Platform You will have temporary backend admin access to OsCommerce and ftp directory access to ?/store/ directory on our server and when necessary phpmyadmin access. You will not have complete and total access to the entire server. It's not necessary. We will be available to assist with any server sided request outside of the areas you will be able to access. We use a Linux/ Unix based operating system on our server. The server is loaded with current versions of osCommerce 2.2+, Linux 2.4.29, Apache/1.3.33 (Unix), PHP/4.3.10, MySQL 3.23.58 All deliverables need to work satisfactory to the Buyers liking with all traditional and consumer based operating systems Windows 97, 98, ME, XP, XP PRO, Linux/ Unix and Mac operating systems Browsers: Firefox 1+, Opera 8+ and All 3.0+ versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape's latest version, Safari 1+ and MSN Browser and other popular browsers.
