**Project Updated!** This is a quite **straightforward VB6/Access** project and so I am surprised there have not been more bids as this is **much easier** than many of my previous offers which got plenty of bids. Please look and bid!
I have now added more detail to the description and have increased the max bid as well.
Rentacoder project:
I have a program that is used as a viewer for certain text data that is neatly organized into chapters, subchapters, etc.
On the left side of the viewer there is a treeview control which lets users navigate through the chapters, subchapaters, etc. on the right side of the form there is a webbrowser control where the actual text is displayed.
the viewer reads from an access database (mdb) - presently, there is one "book" in the viewer called the "FAR." I need to add two more books to this viewer. One is called the "AIM" and one is called the "PCG". Both the AIM and PCG are already in the access database, and the structure is very straightforward. -
What you need to do is this:
1. make sure that the AIM and PCG appear in the treeview. Actually, the AIM is already there.. you just need to add PCG. You can use the AIM and FAR code already there are your guide.
2. write the code to display the AIM and PCG in the webbrowser control when a user clicks on a section. this is very straightfoward and, again, you can use the existing, GOOD FAR code already there are your guide. in fact, the AIM and PCG are quite a bit easier than the FAR.
3. write code that makes the search work with the AIM and PCG. there is a search function in there that allows the user to search the FAR by Keyword. All you have to do is extend this to the AIM and PCG.
I want to stress that the existing code is VERY clean and VERY well written. this really is a project that should only take a few hours. Furthermore, I am almost always online and can answer any questions you have promptly. Good luck and happy bidding!
