Website Design & Upgrade + new CMS

We are requiring a re-design customized templates for our website and to upgrade to a new Content Management System as well as designing I can supply you with the company logo and the sample design. We have the most of the photos/pictures ready from istock photos, but if there will be a need to buy some more, we can do that as well. We will supply you with a general site plan, which you can improve on, if needed. Once you have the database setup and configured it, all the texts (with the links as well) need to be migrated from the current website to the new one. We need the site to be search engine friendly and search engine optimized if possible. The site needs to be up and operational by Feb 10th 2011 if possible. We haven’t decide which CMS we want to use – we would like your professional advice after reading through all of our requirements. We are considering using WordPress or Joomla, but are open to any suggestions for CMS as long as it meets our criteria & can be updated, edit & changed by us without technical support. Our requirements are listed below: • Relatively easy to use the CMS from a backend perspective (for uploading new information, posting videos, making changes to content, page design, etc). We would like training on how to use the back end CMS (especially features we will use often) if any video tutorials or user guides do not explain it effectively • We would like some on-going support of a short period should we have any queries or technical support issues • Calendar function - we are currently using PHP iCalendar (we need a solution for showing our clients the booked events, which we are currently transferring from Microsoft Outlook. We would like the calendar to be imbedded into the website so that clients can view our bookings (ie. client name, location, date & time) • Easy to create Form Builders (e.g. registration & booking forms etc) that are graphical & can be edited by us if we need to. We need to be easily able to create online forms that our clients can fill in and we receive all the information to our email properly formatted (not appearing like coding). • Flexibility in page design – adding new categories to the menu bar & sub-menus and updating the text & image as & when necessary • Upload, rename, delete, cut/copy/paste images and insert them into the page using an intuitive and familiar interface • Create Links to other Sections, Categories, Articles, Weblinks and Contacts • File Manager - Insert links to files of any type with customizable descriptions • Media Manager - Upload and insert media files (flash, windows media, quicktime etc), embedded videos & YouTube videos • The ability to track the people who use our services on the website (especially where they have registered on line or logged into password protected sites) • We would also like to integrate a Social Media (like Facebook and Twitter) and their add-ons (banners, Facebook badge) Please look through our website ([login to view URL]) and look at what is on there so you can identify the most important functions we need to have for it to be a user friendly website for the clients and for us. In the future we are considering integration of the following features: • Automated E-mails & newsletters. Therefore we need to be able to capture email addresses & names & store them in separate databases (eg. one database for coaching clients, another for corporate training clients etc) • Ability to add product in the future & payal so people can buy online (ie. shopping cart) • Banner advertising systems • Paid subscription services Please take this into consideration when deciding on an appropriate CMS system for us – it would be easier if the CMS system was ready for this and there would be a lot of free plug-ins to choose from.
