I'd like a script that labels pictures with their Title, Caption, and Date.
I'd like you to use ExifTool and ImageMagick. Use ExifTool to read the Title, Caption and Date the picture was taken from EXIF/IPTC data. Use ImageMagick to write the information onto the image.
The script may be written in python, perl, bash, or as a dos batch file. If you'd prefer another common scripting language, that can be negotiated. The script should have global variables at the top that allow the user to select whether they want the title, caption or date from the images by uncommenting appropriate settings. Similarly, the script should have a global variable that describes where on the image the text will be placed. The default values should put the text at the bottom of the image with word wrapping to ensure that all the text is placed. The text should be written at a size that is a percentage of the overall dimensions of the image, though if this is difficult a configurable font size will be acceptable. The script should take a single filename on the command-line. The script should have imagemagick write over that file with the new image containing the appropriate text. You may write the script to either use the command-line versions of exiftool and imagemagick, or you may use the library forms of these tools. However, you must use these tools to do the actual reading and writing of the information in the file.

## Deliverables
The final output must run under Cygwin under Windows 7. The programmer should test it in this environment before sending it to me. The programmer must provide links to any libraries or run-time environments required.
A sample picture is attached. This shows both the desired output and has the EXIF information included. One difference: Title is at the top of the picture. This is not strictly required, but would be nice to have as an option default setting.

After discussion during the bids with some of the coders, I've realized that it would be possible to go right for the gold: to have a coder write a plug-in for Adobe Lightroom that accomplishes the same goal of running Imagemagick for captioning photos. So, I've decided to cancel this bid request and create a new bid request. Thank you all for your consideration of my request. If you're interested in Lua coding, I hope that you'll consider looking at my follow-up bid request. It will be titled Adobe Lightroom Export Plug-In. Thank you, twinotter
