The website would be in similar industry as [url removed, login to view] but it will be more advanced. It would have 6 different kind of pages, including a search facility(search database and render a html). Website should be mostly database driven. There would be some programs which would read the database every 3 minutes and create html files, including the main page.
Our server would only store the logo of website and back grounds, The database would not store any product image. The product images would come from the manufacturer website, database table would have a field for store the URL for the images. Every database table would an integer key, auto generated by database. There would be foreign key - child key relationships. Most(preferable all) of the processing should be done on the server side. The code should be simple, and should render small(in size) html pages. We don't really care if the programs consume too much of cpu/memory/i-o, or database have redundancy. We are also not all that concerned about the size of WebPages either.
I would create a draft of low level database model, which you can change if needed. Please send me your contact number, availability and approximate charges(or hourly rate). If you want to do complete work, let me know, I would provide a high level requirement document only. The duration would be 1 month(max).
I would like to know what is your skill set, and examples of your work if possible. I would definitely want to see one or two of your programs, in related technologies (php/CSS/mysql/Apache, Windows). There would be a contract signed. Me and my sis are in the same industry. This would be a learning project for my sister, her responsibility would be to maintain the website after its developed first time by somebody else.
