Design and build a websites Directory. The site should allow site owners to list their websites. It should also allow users to vote and rate websites. ## Deliverables **Functional Requirements Specification Document** ? **Design Principles** 1. The site has to be top notch, world class, state of the art and one of its kind in terms of layout, design, colours, icons and ease of use 2. The site should have a look and feel that’s truly unique, attractive and “eye catching?? 3. Colours ??" use bright, strong colours that draw the eye and divide the site into clear sections that highlight important elements; while ensuring that the colours aren’t too harsh to the users’ eye. The idea for now is to test the market and eventually introduce monetization options ??" banner advertising, subscription etc. 9. To brighten up the homepage and grab users attention, I want to make use of some flash functionality. What I have in mind currently is to animate the top icons using flash. I have explain in another part of this document, what ideas I have with regard to this. 10. The icons I have included in my page layouts are just suggestions and am flexible for the vendor to suggest other icons that might be more applicable or more attractive ? ? **Other considerations** 1. You can Vote without having to register or login to the website 2. You can Rate a website without having to register or login to the website 3. Before making a posting or responding to a posting in the discussion board, you have to log in 4. As an Admin I should have a web analytics functionality 5. When you click List Website, the system should automatically open the registration form with **User Type** field defaulting to Website Owner 6. When you click Suggest Website, the system should automatically open the registration form with User Type field defaulting to Website User, but with the additional fields that are required when suggesting a website(check suggest website form) 7. When you are at Web Services Provider page, include a message somewhere that reads as follows: “To see your company listed here, click here??. When you click here, the system should open the registration form with user defaulting to service provider(all other fields not relevant to Service provider should be hidden) ? **? ** ? **What we do** SitesDirectory is the only website of its kind in the Kenya market.
