I have done this several times.
I have over 15 years of web, software, and game development experience. I have remotely worked with companies and teams from all over the world, completing dozens of projects, and often while holding a lead position. I have experience converting client goals and detailed feature requests into final working products. I am new to Freelancer but I am not new to programming or remote work under tight schedules.
PLANNING, deals with learning your goals, feature requests, target audience, plans, and other questions to understand the technical requirements of the project. Concepts, references, example art, and legal documents are also collected. Web hosting server information will be required or set up for you.
DESIGN, from the conceptual design to the final result. This milestone handles the visual style, theme, and layout of the web site. There will be several, but limited, review and approval cycles during this milestone to ensure your goals are met.
DEVELOPMENT, is the process of converting what had been created during the DESIGN milestone into working code. Essentially this milestone will be responsible for making the web site operational and display correctly across multiple devices/browsers.
LAUNCH, after a final polishing phase, the web site source files are moved from the previous testing server, to the live server. Final tests are performed and the web site is launched.
