Were planning to offer a free sms services here in Australia based upon the popular service model of taking a set allocation of the 160 characters for advertising. We plan to use our existing Clickatell connection.
We require a simple script initally with the following particulars,
User Registration:
Via form. User record has fields of simply name, number, id_num.
Registration Validation:User enters details> user is then sent text with with authorisation code>user receives auth code>enters code on form which validates user account and allows access to send form.
Sending form: destination_num, from_num, and message body limited to 110 characters (50 reserved for advertising)
Message API to be https (or recommended equiv)
Admin section:
>User list with delete ability
>Message statistics for day, week etc.
>Service 'on/off' switch
>Message logfile
Advertising management:
Add advertiser, something like advertiser_name, advertiser_id, advertiser_message, advertiser_maxsmstosend.
Messages to be delivered from advertiser pool somehow weighted to the advertisers maxsend amount (TBD).
Front end will be designed seperately.
