Looking for someone to deliver a fully functional CartoDB installation on Ubuntu via an AWS AMI: [login to view URL]
All of the below specs have to be fulfilled in order to receive payment:
-you will be using the most recent master branch from [login to view URL]
-fully functioning webfrontend, as in [login to view URL]
-full documentation of workflow / configuration, in markdown format
-full shell script that performs the full installation and configuration from scratch on Amazon
-the whole server stack will run without sudo / root priviledges
-it has to be working with several users,i.e. you will provide a script to create / modify / delete cartodb users
-app has to fully work in development, staging AND production mode
-start/stop shell scripts, one for each of the three modes: development, staging, production
-server is fully accessible from all clients without any client-side configuration (/etc/hosts or so)
-you will be working on your own AMI, then hand it over to me.
-all scripts and changed files will be uploaded to a bitbucket repo
-full documentation will go to bitbucket wiki ie: I would like to be able to re-create this process on a local machine off AWS potentially.
-you will create a new set of git repositories on bitbucket, which contain all code needed to do the flawless full install of cartodb on AWS server, and the above mentioned install script will use those repos automatically.
Acceptance Tests I will perform:
- using the web interfaces for uploading and creating maps
- using the http APIs for tiling, and data access
- reviewing the documentation for usability
- installing the ami myself on a new amazon machine
Just another point for clarity:
- Yes I would like to be able to re-create this system off AWS as well, I want the ability to deploy it locally on Oracle virtual box or similar
- I will be testing this system using a .shp file, I will need to be able to log into the web interface and upload shape files, create maps, visualise them
- The listed functionality above where I describe the user access functionality is not standard in the carto github, this is a customisation that may require a seperate php/html application and possibly a database
- WARNING: This is not an easy project for people without experience in the specific technologies used in the carto stack on github. This is a complex product & the installation instructions may not work; do not bid on this job if you have not configured a complex linux open source / bleeding edge web server product before.
