GPRS Gateway

We have a GPS tracker/communicator (DEVICE) that currently sends data to a server ([login to view URL]) using a GPRS protocol on port 5050 using sockets. We aim to develop a replacement ecosystem so we can enhance and extend the functionality of the DEVICE. To do so we need a module/listener (PLATFORM) that will communicate with the DEVICE and act as an intermediate interface between our portal/apps and the DEVICE. The purpose of this PLATFORM will be to listen to the DEVICE requests, to parse/process the response and to pass the data to our servers using REST APIs (GET Method) that will be provided by us. Also, this PLATFORM needs to send GPRS Commands to the DEVICE so we need an API to which we can send the data to. The DEVICE sends and receives the data using a GPRS protocol and format. The attached pdf document provides the details. The PLATFORM will need to be extensible as other DEVICES may be added in the future. In addition, the module/listener should communicate via https. Https may not be set by default on the DEVICE can but can be triggered via a GPRS command. We can set the IP address and port of the PLATFORM on the DEVICE as a replacement to the current server. Winning Bidder must have experience with GPRS and must review the attached document to confirm understanding. We will require a proof of concept before awarding where we will point the device to an IP/port you specify and ask for the translated output.
