Detailed Tasks: 1. Create a PHP script that automatically login users to Invision Power Forums - On the main domain we set a cookie with a unique GUID, something like "b9a259ec-5b3b-488a-82fa-27577d4360f9". - Invision Power Board Forums are installed on a sub-domain, we need the initial script to sniff the GUID from the cookie and call a webservice/endpoint on our main site ($url = '[login to view URL]';) which returns a JSON encoded array of the user name, email address & photo link. The IPB4 Forums Init Script needs to log the user in if we detect a previously existing account in forums, or create a new user account and log user to system. IPB4 PHP Reference: [login to view URL] (older IPB3 script attached). 2. Modify Forums Registration and Login Links: - Modify forum registration url to point to a different URL on the main domain. - Modify forum login url to point to a different URL on the main domain.
