Hi, this is Javier. Unfortunately an "upgrade" is not possible from version 1.9 to 2.x. This is because the difference on database structure and files. What you can do is to migrate products, orders, clients. etc to a newer version. But the extensions from old version won't work in new version, if you have paid extensions or customizations, you will have to get it for version 2.
