The Task is to build a website which is linked through API to multiple UK carriers. UKMAIL, DPD, DHL. More will be added in future. website is roughly what [url removed, login to view] is doing. customers can come and book parcels and pay as they go but also have trade customers with specific rates who have different options then walkin customers.
The website is focused primarily on SME who are ebay, amazon or are running opencart or magento etc e-commerce websites sellers. The website needs to be integrate through API with the relevant websites/softwares to make it easy for these customers to book their parcels. again the website will have features similar to [url removed, login to view] in terms of bulk shipping, ebay and other software integration.
customer should be able to track from our website, so we can add more information to tracking no. where we collect ourselves or handle at some stage.
We will collect from certain postcodes and certain customers with our own vans and then pass it to relevant carriers. software needs to allow us to set these perimeters. if we are collecting, we need a mobile app which allows us to scan the barcode or QR code and update it on website tracking details like normal carrier tracking.
Software will need invoice reconciliation. So Invoice from carrier can be pulled through API and software needs to check against our estimated bill to make sure, no over or under charging has occurred. similar to what [url removed, login to view] are doing.
Software needs to be able to send all the invoices to customers through email. and also send tracking information to customer through email and/or text. send over due invoice notification, warning letter.
