Publicist for Miami PR firm

We are a young & professional boutique fashion and lifestyle PR agency located in Hallandale that deals predominately with clients in the fashion, beauty, lifestyle and accessories industries. Currently, we are looking for a full-time account manager to handle multiple PR accounts in the travel, fashion, beauty and accessories departments and to also manage the interns and day to day office work. **Account manager must have previous PR experience in the field. Must also be business savvy, VERY organized, and will be working under a creative, free thinking CEO We are also looking for fashion-savvy interns that can work on Mon Wed and Fri from the hours of 9-5pm and are ready to get their feet wet and have a passion for learning! Interns will have the opportunity to receive free fashion, beauty, accessories and consumer merchandise from our clients for good work and call also receive school credit! Some tasks include: -Day to day pitching and creating media lists with pending placements and secured placements -Phone calls to editors to pitch and follow up -Appointments with stylists and editors in the showroom -Sample management and tracking -Event organization: securing sponsorships and gift bags, mediating with models, photographers, hair stylist, wardrobe stylist, and makeup stylist for fashion shows, helping with go sees and fittings, and handling the RSVP list and the media at press events, while also knowing how to announce step and repeat red carpet walk throughs. -Administrative office duties and management of interns and their schedules -Keeping an organized chart of press breaks, pending placements and goal placements in fashion media outlets and sending weekly and monthly press reports to clients Intern tasks include (but are not limited to): -sample trafficking and logging samples in and out of the showroom via messenger system to track their status -compiling media lists to pitch trend stories to magazines, newspapers, web sites, online networks, and blogs -pitching and writing press releases to editors and contacts in the fashion industry -properly handling the samples for fittings, shoots, events and styling purposes, ie taking photos before and after borrowing, release of liability form etc. -placing phone calls to editors and buyers to update contact information and sign up for mass mailings for sample requests -posting on the agency blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts -tracking celebrity outreach and exposure by following the wire images and sending placement updates out to the weeklies -assistance in organizing and executing fashion launch events, cocktail parties, customer events, and trunk shows in the showroom for the clients, specifically in helping with gift bag sponsorships and RSVP lists -organizing a weekly fashion event calendar and updating it on Facebook, Twitter and agency blog by attending events and fashion shows, coordinating samples to be worn -organizing and distributing all press kits, including line sheets and look books to the appropriate contacts -researching fashion trends on the Internet, Twitter, ASW, Linked In and other social media outlets as well as events and happenings in Miami PLEASE INCLUDE RESUME IN YOUR RESPONSE AND POST IN BODY OF EMAIL!
