Digital Colour Atlas Version 6

DIGITAL COLOUR ATLAS VERSION 6 Hello, are you a skilled Wind/Mac programmer and do you have 6 months of time for a well-known software project? I want to update the software DIGITAL COLOUR ATLAS to version 6. The source code of version 5 is available (Real Basic). You must bring it to run or re-code the software and build in some new features. You will need a good knowledge of (or willingness to learn a lot about) color models and color calculation. Download Version 5 Website: [login to view URL] Win: [login to view URL] Mac: [login to view URL] Help system: [login to view URL] Old and new features All features of version 5 must be there: - CIELAB colour algorithms - DeltaE calculations - color comparison by DeltaE minimization - write results in pdf files - coloration of images - 3D color space with easy navigation - color system manager - and more and additionally some new features - import colour lists in text format (clf) and write the internat bcs format from it - graphical and interface improvements - import spectral data (cxf, cgats) - some spectral caluclations (I will prepare the algorithms) - write colour atlas sample sheets (RGB, HLC, Lab, CMYK) with variable stepwidth and limitations (pdf, see RGB atlas in the current software) - ICC profile based color values and image conversion (RGB and CMYK) - gamut calculations - auto-update via Internet I need the software in german and english. All german strings will be given, or (better) a string table which can be extended to further languages would be perfect. Source code The current version 5 is for Windows and Macintosh. RealBasic can compile for both platforms. You will have the complete source code (RB and XML). When you try to load the project in Xojo (RealBasic successor) there will be many error messages, but I can run it here on the older RB version. Therefore I do not know if version 6 can be made in Xojo and if Win+Mac will be possible. A complete re-coding may be the better alternative. A Mac version would be great, the Win version is more important. Intensive cooperation My part will be the graphical preparations (window drafts, icons), and all material you need (color system files, images), your part will be the programming and good souce code documentation. Every week on a fixed time we will meet on Skype and Teamviewer and discuss the proceedings. My estimation is a 6 months project, it should not take more than 1 year. The programmer of version 5 may be asked questions. Milestones 1: setup the working environment 2-10: every window of v5 is another milestone 11: re-program all features of version 5 (or bring them to run) 12: build in the new features 13: testing, revision, publication 14: current updating I can pay each milestone separately. Each milestone contains the current sourcecode transfer. Your offer Please offer the complete package until satisfaction, this means: - fully documented, well structured, easily understandable source code - compilation for Win (and Mac) - setup is not necessary Please look carefully at the features, they are well documented in the help system. Do not make a too low offer which will make you dissatisfied when further needs come up. You will prominently be mentioned in the start window of the software. You can also offer a participation in revenues. My estimation is that 2000 customers will come within 2 years for a 40 EUR yearly fee. A participation of 20% might be fair. We can also talk about mixing the 2 variants.
